Who can enter?

US-based video game players, developers, and publishers.

Can I enter as a part of a team?

Yes. You can register on behalf of or representing a private business or an employer. Each private business or employer may only sponsor one individual or team, and sponsored individuals or teams may only submit one entry.

When do I need to submit my application?

You or your team leader need to complete all the application materials, submit a written description, and a questionnaire before the deadline on June 30th, 2017. For the complete rules click here.

What do I need to do in order to apply?

You need to register on our online platform. Once you have examined the preparation materials, you should write a description and complete a short questionnaire that communicate how, as a game developer or publisher, you might use FreeBee Perks, a Verizon program and API that allows brands to create campaigns that will reward consumers with free Verizon mobile data when they complete a call to action, to enhance your game play or user experience. What will I need in order to register?

You will need to have your email, a team name, the name and location of your company (if you represent one), as well as your own name and email address and those of any teammates you are inviting to participate with you. You and your team members will need to agree to the rules. For more information on how to register click here.

What are the prizes?

In addition to being recognized for their creativity and originality, the top 20 Winners will each receive up a $5,000 credit and potentially additional rewards and benefits such as access to developer resources and campaign assistance on the FreeBee Perks platform and even exposure for their game titles through published profiles, videos, or interviews.

Who will determine the winners?

The team of industry experts from Verizon will evaluate each entry based on its originality and creativity, scale and feasibility, and value proposition to determine the winning ideas. For more details check the rules.

What will happen to my idea?

At the end of the challenge, all your ideas, games, characters, contents, and related intellectual properties still belong to you. Verizon may only use your idea to promote the challenge and its education initiatives. For more information check the here.

Why was my entry disqualified?

Entries that don’t meet the submission requirements, that violate the terms and conditions, contain inappropriate content, or that did not obtain proper permission will be disqualified.
